My favorite images are simple, intimate and beautiful. I love what I do so much. I get to see people move through one of the most amazing times in their lives. I see families being born and growing up together.

Here are two images that I shot over the past 2 weeks that I just love. The first is from a maternity session. I had photographed this family about a year or so ago and now here they are...3 soon to be 4. This little guy is about to become a big brother to a little girl!

This little peanut came to see me last week. I say he came to see me but he never really woke up while he was there so I don't think he ever really saw me. He made an impression on me though! Look how sweet he is, smiling in his sleep no less! He was so tiny and so comfy all nestled up next to his Daddy. I photographed his parents for a maternity portrait a few weeks before he was born. It's always such a cool thing to have a couple come back in and share their new baby with me for an hour or so. I remember so well what it was like to be a new parent. It's an exciting, scary, frustrating, sleep deprived, explosion of love. Your former life just goes out the window - powerless against this 7 pound little human.

This whole parenthood thing is pretty amazing isn't it? I still can't believe that my first just had his first day of first grade! Like everyone says, it seems like only yesterday...

My dear, sweet, very long time friend Kristen brought Olivia in for a little super session with this cute cape I bought for my guys. Olivia was a sport and let us dress her up. It had been a while since I photographed Olivia and in that time she has grown up so much!!

She also agreed to model my amazing new studio t-shirts. Pretty darn cute, huh? Thanks Kristen and O!

It's back by popular demand! Last year we had a special promotion at the studio called the White Sale. It's a high energy, jam packed and loud few days in the studio. We have a really good time. This year we're doing 2 days in June and 2 days in August and we hope you can come. The sessions are quick and fun and perfect for children about 6 months and up who can sit up on their own. Here's a little sampling of last year's sale.
The sessions will book up quickly so make sure and give the studio a call and book your session asap. The session fee is $150 and includes your 30 minute session and a pack of really cute custom designed note cards (designed using images from your session). We are shooting on four days: June 26th and 27th and August 14th and 15th. Each set of dates includes a Friday and Saturday.
We have some great image collections for you as well. If you scrapbook, you will appreciate our loose print package, The Scrapper's Delight. Complete framed packages start at $435. A la carte selections, canvas packages, digital collections and some really cool new frame choices with all be available. Come one, come all! It's going to be fun!

I recently moved into a new studio, which means I have all new spaces to shoot in. I have been experimenting with new ideas and some new lighting as well while working on finding my way around the new digs. To help with my experiments, I issued a model call a month or so ago and Sofia's Mom gave me a call to volunteer. So, here she is, little Sofia!

Isn't this little tutu the cutest thing?! I had just purchased it so we had to try it out.

My new studio also has beautiful wood floors so that has been new and fun as well.

This little hat is a recent purchase of mine. I bought this amazing gem from Debbie at Posh Props. I put it on her and her Mom and I were instantly (and in unison) saying "Awwww!!". Mom got this series in a frame...how could you resist?

Happy wednesday everyone!

Here is a little sampling of what I do. Seriously, I think I have one of the world's best jobs. Generally speaking, it's like a love explosion here on most days. Yes, we have grunt work and we get stressed out and it can be hard. If I put that stuff aside though and focus on the end product and the reasons why I do what I do, it's just all amazing, mushy, love-filled awesomeness. For me there is nothing more incredible than the genuine sparkle and spirit of children and families. I hope you see a little bit of that in this video, enjoy! (you may need to give the video a few minutes to load up all the way)
