The rain returned today with a vengeance. The kids got sent home from school and my studio had a huge leak. So, the work day was cut short and the rest of the afternoon was spent at home. Steven bought this Canon point and shoot and I have been trying to use it and get used to it. It is so hard to take good pictures with that camera! It's crazy. I periodically go to local groups and give a talk about taking better pictures of your kids. People moan and groan about their cameras and I can only reassure them that consumer point and shoot cameras make it difficult to take good pictures. The camera's delay combined with the lack of control makes it impossible. I'm sure if I actually read the manual it might make it a little easier. Anyway, these pictures are with this little point and shoot. If I side by side compare these with images from my pro camera the difference is really incredible. So, if you feel frustrated by your camera, you are not alone!

So, what do you do when it's raining all day? You play dress up of course! Phoebe and Milo even got into the mix (they didn't volunteer in case you were wondering).
